Collected Garments Over Christmas

As a bespoke tailors nothing brings Edward and myself more joy than seeing our clients out in the public wearing their garments they have had made at Redwood and Feller. It really is a feeling not many other trades could give you, seeing a clients face when they feel a million dollars.

Here are two examples of that, each were collected in December so they could be enjoyed over the Christmas period. The first is a wonderful casual raglan /dressing gown style overcoat. Drew had an idea in his head and trusted us with making it, Drew has a great eye for fashion and is one for the smartest gentleman we know and always attends the shop well dressed.

The cloth is a lovely upholstery tweed from Holland & Sherry in an unusual burnt orange color. The style is unique with raglan style sleeves and shoulders, turn back cuffs and a dressing gown style front with a full-length belt.

Moving to Paul also a very dapper gentleman who has been coming to Redwood and Feller for over 30 years. Paul wanted a classic double-breasted velvet smoking with frogging on the front and cuff with the addition of silk turn back cuffs, it really is a timeless garment which he can enjoy year after year. He also commissioned a pair of evening dress trousers to wear with the smoking jacket, these were made from a black barathea 12oz worsted cloth. We added rib silk to run down the seam on each side to complete the look.
