Redwood and Feller are extremely proud of their extensive collection of luxury cloths, ranging from the finest flannels to the highest quality herringbones. Their ever-growing archives boast a plethora of colours, patterns and textures, varying from the traditional and classic to the more edgy and adventurous.
Slotting neatly in to the latter category is this beautiful Dashing Tweed, seen here being cut upstairs in the shop by Elliott ready for a first fitting. A first for R&F, Dashing Tweed has become hugely popular, characterized by its modern twist on classic patterns. By using a vibrant mix of colour and pattern, Dashing Tweed is always instantly recognisable - a great choice for those who enjoy classic tailoring with a contemporary feel.
The aim of Dashing tweeds is to introduce traditional British tailoring into a modern urban environment by bringing colour and texture back to the original heritage sporting fabric. After all, tweed was traditionally the way men wore colours, patterns and texture whilst enjoying themselves in various pastimes and country pursuits. Dashing Tweeds have simply modernised the cloth by working with technical yarns in combination with wools, literally bringing tweed out of the countryside and into town.
Their design studio is located right in the creative hub of London’s east end, allowing them to produce some truly exciting and innovative fabrics that originate as hand woven samples before being manufactured in some of the UK’s finest mills. Their retailer can be found just off Savile Row, again showing how this innovative brand eclectically mixes old school, traditional Great British tailoring with a new school creative edge.
